Why does God allow pain and suffering? That is possibly one of the most commonly asked questions in life. We’ll explore that topic this week as we continue the Explore God sermon series. Invite a friend to unpack some of life’s biggest questions during our 9:30 or 11 a.m. service. If you want to dig deeper into this topic, join the Explore God discussion group during second service.

MEN’S MINISTRY CONFERENCE
Men of The Sanctuary are invited to attend a Men’s Conference at Highpoint on Saturday. Highpoint is offering Sanctuary men a discounted registration of $30 (normally $50). Register here and enter the promo code: SANCTUARY. Pastor Ronn will be leading one of the break-out sessions at the conference.

NIGHT OF WORSHIP
Take a break to connect with God during a Night of Worship at The Sanctuary Church! Our worship team will lead this extended time of praising God through song and prayer at 7 p.m. Wednesday. Childcare will be provided for birth to 5th grade.

GIVING STATEMENTS
Giving statements for 2018 will be available at the Info Table Sunday. Please stop by and ask for your statements, which will be in a sealed envelope. Givers also can check their annual contributions through our member directory at: thesanctuarychurch.ccbchurch.com. Click on your user profile and look for the financial tab to print out your giving statement.

Q AND A MEETINGS
Pastor Ronn and Sanctuary elders will be visiting each growth group during the next few weeks to answer questions about the proposal to join in ministry with Highpoint Church in Naperville. If you aren’t part of a Growth Group, you can ask questions during one of these three meetings: Feb. 3 at 9:30 or 11 a.m. in the office or Feb. 6 at 7 p.m. in the Community Room.

CONGREGATIONAL MEETING
Sanctuary elders will make a recommendation on next steps for The Sanctuary’s future at a Congregational Meeting on Feb. 10. Elders could recommend a merger with Highpoint or another option at that meeting, which will begin at 6 p.m. If elders recommend joining with Highpoint, Sanctuary members would vote on the proposal in March.

PRAYER FOR THE SANCTUARY
We would like to set aside time every Sunday between services and Tuesdays at 6 a.m. to pray as a body for the next steps for our church. Please make this a priority and join us in the hallway outside the office for weekly prayer.

THE FIGHT CLUB
Men, come for breakfast and stay to build relationships with God and others. The Fight Club meets 7:30 to 8:45 a.m. Feb. 2 in the lobby.

LOVED!
For the last nine years, The Sanctuary has had the privilege of bringing “Loved!,” a spa event, to our local domestic violence shelter. We are looking for people who love to paint nails, do make-up and offer hospitality, as well as massage therapists, aestheticians and setup or take down volunteers. We have limited volunteer slots so sign up early for this wonderful event on Feb. 8.

MORNINGSTAR MISSION
If you are looking for an easy and meaningful way to serve in our community, sign up to partner with Morningstar Mission. We have the opportunity to help serve dinner to those without homes 3:45 to 6 p.m. Feb. 9. There is room for seven volunteers.

BAPTISM
If you have accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Savior and you would like to be baptized, plan to participate in one of our regular morning worship services at 9:30 or 11 a.m March 3. A baptism class will be offered during second service on Feb. 24 in the office. Please sign up at the Info Table.

JUNIOR HIGH AND HIGH SCHOOL
Our junior high and high school ministries meet from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Mondays for student-led worship, large group teaching, small group discussion and tons of FUN! Feel free to arrive at 6:30 for hangout time.
