Don’t forget to set your clocks back one hour this weekend. Daylight Savings Time ends at 2 a.m. Sunday morning. We are looking forward to worshipping with you at 9:30 and 11 a.m. You won’t want to miss Pastor Ronn’s message, “The Sidekick,” in our current sermon series, “The View.”
COMMUNION AND BENEVOLENCE
This Sunday we will be taking part in communion together during both services. We will also be taking a benevolence offering at the end of service Sunday. This is a special offering that goes directly to help those in our church body who have a financial need. Please look for the ushers as you leave the auditorium.
Surge is a monthly gathering at The Sanctuary to refuel through worship, testimonies and topical break-out sessions. This is a time for the entire church to come together one Wednesday a month at one service. Childcare will be provided for birth to 5th grade. We are canceling Thrive and Crossfire one Wednesday a month so our junior high and high school students can attend Surge. The next Surge is 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday! Future dates are Dec. 3, Jan. 7, Feb. 4, March 4 and May 6. Find more details at the Info Table.
RELEASED TO THE STREETS
Thank you to all those who were part of Released to the Streets! Not only were we able to collect 200 pairs of socks and nearly 100 gloves and hats, but we were also able to invite others into the reality that God is for all people. Thank you as well to our Men’s Ministry who will be delivering these gifts this month as they serve the men at Morningstar Mission in Joliet.
BIBLES FOR UGANDA
Due to the generosity of The Sanctuary church body, we were able to provide funding for more than 60 Bibles for Pastors Discipleship Network in Uganda. Thank you for hearing a need and responding from the heart. If you would like to learn more about PDN, visit their website here.
We will have a child dedication during the worship services on Nov. 9. There will be a Child Dedication class during first service this Sunday in the Community room for anyone interested in finding out more about child dedications and having your child dedicated now or in the future. The class will explore the basis for dedicating our children to the Lord and will provide biblical encouragement to parents for raising your children to know and follow Christ. Anyone that has had your child dedicated in the last few years is also welcome to attend the class. If you would like to have your child dedicated to the Lord or want to attend the class, sign up at the Info Table.
Fantasy ranges from innocent to indecent. Why is fantasy so powerful? Why can it be destructive on many levels? Join with other men at The Sanctuary to dive into man-specific emotional causes that propel men into fantasy in the second installment of the video series, “Fantasy Island”, and small group breakouts 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. Nov. 8. Fight club meets every other Saturday morning. For more info, contact Bryan Buckley.
If you have accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Savior and you would like to be baptized, plan to participate in one of our regular morning worship services at 9:30 and 11 a.m. November 16.
A baptism class will be offered at 10 a.m. Nov. 8 in the Community Room to prepare you for the service. Please sign up at the Info Table to participate in the Baptism service and class.
