Back in June, Pastor Ronn challenged our church body to pray boldly as we approach our Annual Meeting on Sept. 11. As a follow-up, Pastor Ben asked us to share our “Whale of a Tale” of what God is doing in our lives. We want to share those stories of how God has answered prayers in our church at the meeting. If you missed Pastor Ronn’s challenge, you can check our his message on our YouTube channel, listen on our web site or read about it on our blog. If you have a story to share, please write it down and give it to a staff member or e-mail it to us.
ANNUAL MEETING
Our Annual Meeting is at 6 p.m. Sept. 11 at Alpha Baptist Church, 240 S. Schmidt Road. The purpose of the meeting is to seek congregational approval of the new budget for the fiscal year that begins Oct. 1. We also will approve new members, elders, a person on the nominating committee and our treasurer. We will have an informational budget meeting at 3:30 p.m. Aug. 28 at the church office. Please make plans to attend this meeting if you would like to ask questions about the budget. Both meetings are open to anyone who attends our church, but only members can vote on the budget.
FAMILY FUN FEST

We are looking forward to Family Fun Fest from 4 to 7 p.m. this Sunday at the grounds of New Song Church, 151 E. Briarcliff Rd.! This event is a great opportunity to spread the love of Christ to those in our community. Please make plans to enjoy food, games and fun while getting to know families served by the Bolingbrook Christian Health Center.
If you would like to volunteer, please contact Cheryl Lynn Cain: cherylcain@gmail.com.
TEN: CELEBRATING CHANGED LIVES

We are getting so excited about our 10-Year Anniversary celebration on Sept. 25. Your entire family is invited to our celebration dinner at the Hilton in Lisle! We will have a plated dinner, activities for the kids and a great time to reflect on what God has done in our church body since the church started a decade ago. Make sure you don’t miss this event, and the opportunity to Celebrate Changed Lives. Click here to get more details and reserve your tickets.

Volunteers from The Sanctuary have been daydreaming about sno cones, dunk tanks, Andy’s custard and backpacks lately. Lots and lots of backpacks.
