For many of us, Christmas is the most anticipated day of the year. It’s an exciting time to gather with family and friends, exchange gifts and celebrate the season. But what if the joy, love, peace and hope you experience at Christmas could last everyday? What if Christmas wasn’t just a day, but a way to live? Join us for two special services on Sunday as we unpack how the birth of Christ gives us the gift of a Living Christmas all year long.

We have two identical services on Eve of Christmas Eve at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. If you are able, please bring a plate of cookies or a snack to share after service.

“Is there a God?” “Is the Bible reliable?” “Why does God allow pain and suffering?” Beginning Jan. 13, you are invited to explore life’s big questions in an open and authentic way. The Sanctuary is joining churches across the nation that are diving into “Explore God,” a sermon series that will examine tough questions about God, the Bible, suffering, and related topics. To be part of a discussion group to go deeper into each topic, contact Larry Sault,

We would like to set aside time every Sunday between services and Tuesdays at 6 a.m. to pray as a body for the next steps for our church. Please make this a priority and join us in the hallway outside the office for weekly prayer.

Jan. 13: Mark your calendars for our next Multisite Conversation as we explore the possibility of joining with Highpoint Church in Naperville. Highpoint leaders will give details about the ministries of Highpoint and how the two churches could potentially work together to reach more people for Christ.

As we continue the conversation about possibly joining with Highpoint Church in Naperville, we would love to hear from you! Would you please take a few minutes to give us some feedback by filling out this form? Sanctuary leaders would love to hear your thoughts, questions and concerns.

If you are planning to make an end-of-year gift to The Sanctuary, our last service of the year is Dec. 30. Gifts also can be made through our web site, The Sanctuary app or by check mailed to our office and postmarked by Dec. 31. The Sanctuary also can accept gifts of stocks. Our offices will be closed from Dec. 26 to Jan. 1 to give our staff flexibility to celebrate Christmas with their families.

JAN. 9: Women, invite your neighbors and friends to this seven-week study on “Explore God,” Wednesdays at 9:30 a.m. Sign up at the Info Table if you plan to attend.

Men of The Sanctuary meet monthly from 7:30 to 8:45 a.m. in the Community Room for breakfast, Bible study, discussion and accountability. The next Fight Club meets Dec. 22.

Our junior high and high school ministries meet from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Mondays for student-led worship, large group teaching, small group discussion and tons of FUN! Feel free to arrive at 6:30 for hangout time.

Students, don’t miss Winter X-Treme 2019 at Camp Timber-Lee in East Troy, Wisconsin. Junior High students will be going Jan. 11-13. High School students will be going Jan. 25-27. A non-refundable deposit of $50 is due Dec. 10.
