40days_square40 DAYS TO FAST AND PRAY
Thank you to everyone who has been part of our journey to fast and pray for 40 Days as we prepare to open the doors of our new facility at 1251 Windham Parkway. It is our heart that our church will go VIRAL with a desire to reach more people in this community with the awesome news of Jesus Christ! We also want to cover our church body in prayer during this time. We are posting a prayer focus each day on our web site. E-mail our office managers if you need a reminder about the day you signed up to fast: or

gotoone_squareGO TO ONE, SERVE AT ONE
We believe God has given us our new facility so we can help more people become passionate followers of Jesus Christ. We want to make sure we have plenty of space in our auditorium to welcome new families, so we will be moving to two services Sept. 8. Those of us currently in our church will have even more opportunities to connect and serve as we GO to ONE service and SERVE at ONE service. Please fill out the card in your Connection to let us know how you can serve!

KidsTown is sprucing up our space. Please stop by the Info Table on Sunday to look at our display of needed toys and items to {Re}Fresh the KidsTown area. We need brand new and gently used items. Please take a card from the display if you are able to donate the item for our children’s area. You can drop off the toys at our new facility once we have our occupancy permits.

blood drive_squareBLOOD DRIVE
Please invite your friends and family to attend the Jack Noble Memorial Blood Drive at our new facility from 10 to 4 p.m. Sept. 14. This will be one of the first opportunities to invite people into our building before our first public worship service. Dan and Sally Noble and family are hosting the blood drive in memory of their son, Jack, who would have been 11 years old Aug. 2. Jack was an energetic, happy 2-year-old when he was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer. He bravely fought the disease for 14 months, receiving regular blood transfusions to keep him strong enough to continue his treatments. Sadly, Jack lost his brave battle with cancer, and he died on July 12, 2006. Please join the Noble family in honoring Jack’s memory by saving the lives of the many Chicago area patients who are battling diseases that require blood transfusions.

If you are able to donate or know someone who is, register online at with sponsor code 321E or visit the Info Table after service and we’ll do it for you!  We also need people to help as hosts and greeters the day of the event. Sign up at the Info Table if you can help. Questions? Contact

The Sanctuary’s Annual Meeting is at 6 p.m. Sept. 15 at 1251 Windham Parkway. The purpose of the meeting is to seek congregational approval of the new budget for the fiscal year that begins Oct. 1. We also will vote on whether to approve the nomination of a new elder and new members. We will have an informational budget meeting at 3:30 p.m. Sept. 8. Please make plans to attend this meeting if you would like to ask questions about the budget. All are welcome to attend the Annual Meeting, but only members can vote.
