4G: Get Connected

As we finished up the 4G series on Sunday, Pastor Ronn challenged every person in our church body to write down ways we have seen God answer prayers. We want to share those stories at our Annual Meeting on Sept. 11.

During the message, Pastor Ronn also talked about the journey of our church and our prayer that God would open a door for us to find land or a building space. During the past two years as we have prayed for God’s direction about our facility, God has told us to “wait.”  But Pastor Ronn challenged the church to pray boldly that by Sept. 11, we would have located a potential space, whether that be a facility that would house our Sunday services or an improved office space with room for midweek gatherings.

If you missed the last sermon in this series on prayer, make sure you listen to the podcast. We also will be posting the video on our YouTube channel later this week.

For the rest of the summer, we want each person in our church to write down ways God has moved in his or her life. How have you have been surprised by God? Write down examples of times the unexplained has happened. We want you to keep your eyes open for answered prayer as you experience the inexplicable. If God says “wait” or gives you a “no”, we also want you to share those stories.

Pastor Ronn asked our church body to keep track of those prayers on a card we passed out on Sunday. We hope to have many of those cards to share when we gather for our Annual Meeting.

We also want our entire church to be praying boldly that God will give us direction for a church building. We have outgrown our current office space, and we know it is not a place where ministry leaders want to host midweek activities or invite friends. It is our prayer that God would give us a space that we could use to impact our community.

By Sept. 11, it is our prayer that we would have photos of a potential building or land. That request seems overwhelming. Logically there is no way it can be done. Financially, there is no way. But prayerfully, there is always a way.

We would love to hear from you. What are you praying for right now? How has God answered your prayers this year?
